I created over 100 Skills for our supers game we play, and in that one Body Language is one of the skills that can be very helpful for characters who are trying to gauge something about somebody else. It can tell you the mood or emotional state of someone else, give you an idea if they're lying or bluffing, and a whole lot more. A good skill to know.

I'd like to see that list...

Actually, acrobatics is a strength skill already. Look at the Triani race.

Not sure why running was a dexterity skill in the first place...

I'll argue that running is actually a balance thing since it is not about the speed but about not falling down when moving, so it belongs under dexterity.

I concur. Speed is determined by Move stats and the decision of what speed to travel and Strength (Stamina) may be applicable to maintain exertion over time, but Running is about navigating terrain without tripping, which of course gets more difficult depending on the chosen speed. I've not only kept the Running skill under Dexterity, but I've broadened the skill to "Running/Balance" to also include other acts of balance like tight rope walking, etc.

I kept Running under DEX and I'm using it often during combat. In long time running I'd allow using with STR, but for me Running includes all kinds of moving using legs in significant gravity (and before someone ask, I have a Zero-G skill for use in condition of weightlessness).

I had been rather partial to putting all of the movement skills under the Strength heading, but this argument changed my mind.

After some thought, I agree that running is definetly a dex skill for all the reasons already mentioned. I see now that it's used for balance and terrain navigation. Strength and stamina dictate how hard and for how long a character can run.

Cause of that balance aspect, i have also allowed the running skill to be used in place of a regular dex check for things such as wall walking (the top of a thin wall) rope walking etc..

I'll buy that. Maybe they should have named it Balance instead of Running?

I like Balance as a separate skill; it has other applications beyond movement.
