Updating X-Wing: Alliance Ship Stats

When plotted on a graph and the formula is reverse engineered through linear regression, in some models I’m getting speeds even faster than 14. I have been trying to use trendlines that curb the upper end of the faster fighters and the lowest I can get the defender is space 14.

Also consider that the craft has so much power if it turned off its shields and weapons, it would go even faster. I have also been reading the last two novels in the rogue squadron series by Michael Stackpole and the late Aaron Alston. They are fast in the novels as well. If you look at the research paper I have quoted the relevant text and page numbers where applicable. Fortunately the Empire had very few of them because they didn’t realize how valuable their pilots were until it was too late.

X-Wing Alliance Translation

I posted a few updates, and I am working on Hyperdrive speeds next.

CRMcNeill: I have worked on the speed formula but I can't make anything budge. The TIE Avenger is Space: 13 and the TIE Defender is Space: 14. The empire had the fastest fighters but they were too little too late.

I added a section for Ships in Atmosphere. I went with "Proposal One" as seen in the other thread because it is the most conservative expansion into the faster ships speeds only correcting math errors staying as close to the rules-as-written.
