I'm not even going to try to watch this one.

There's nothing that particularly intrigues me about the trailer or official premise, but Disney live action prequels are 3 out of 4 for me (Rogue One, Solo, and Andor), so I'll definitely watch it at some point.

However it may be noteworthy that the three good Disney prequels are non-Jedi-oriented, while the one stinker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, is Jedi-oriented.

One of my favorite sites to visit is The Ringer (formerly Grantland). It mixes pop culture and sports into very well-written articles (and now interviews and podcasts).

Today's article on Star Wars was quite good, I thought. It explores how it has been five years since RoS and we are going to have a close to eight year gap between SW movies in theaters. I haven't read these next two yet, but I'm sure they're good as well:

It will be a 6.5 year gap between SW movies. I guess there is a Star Wars Celebration going on in Japan right now, so announcements are happening. Disney Star Wars films are returning to May releases, where they always should have been.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is in production now and will come out May next year, directed by Jon Favreau and co-written by Favreau and Dave Filoni. They showed a currently-exclusive trailer to them that a poor quality version of leaked onto the internet. (It will likely be formally released on the web after the convention is over.) I watched the leaked version. It picks up plot elements from The Mandalorian and Ahsoka TV shows. (I am looking forward to seeing their take on a younger Hutt in live action.)

Star Wars: Starfighter is a new film announced for a May 2027 release. It will star Ryan Gosling playing an original character. It takes place after TROS and sounds exactly like Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron movie that had been shelved but is supposedly is back in development now. (Maybe this means they are still having Rogue Squadron but moving it to take place in the classic era? One can wish.)

I find that overall, I am not really existed for either one of these films, but of course I will see them anyway.
