				| I know there has to be a template here for them, somewhere. Rather than comb through thousands of threads, I thought I'd ask upfront. Does anybody know where one is, or should I just use the standard droid rules and make my own? This is intended to be an NPC party-member (owned by a PC, but controlled by GM). The timeline is the original trilogy, and the droid survived the clone wars and was upgraded to autonomy. | |

I am confused. Why not just use a B1 Battle Droid? Why does it need to be built again?

Thanks! This is what I was looking for. And I'm a returning player with access only to the two books that come with the 30th-anniversary set, so I don't have this template. May I ask what the source is for this?

That is not a "template" its a "stat block"

Sure, its from the Droids Stats book. You can find it and the other Stats books in The Rancor Pit LIBRARY of Fan-Made Supplements under the heading Rancor Pit Stat Compilations.

				| Thanks for both your help. I now have a viable B1 NPC to use with my group. On an off-hand note, his name is Roger and his quote is, you guessed it, "Roger, Roger." | |

When I read this, I thought of this guy. Maybe this will serve as some inspiration.

Lol. That's pretty funny. I had my first session tonight and the group had a ton of fun. My Roger is an NPC too, so I got to have a little fun with him. His owner bought him deactivated and in a state of disrepair. He rebuilt him, beefed him up, and got some upgrades for him (added a starship gunnery chip and programming). This poor droid has seen a lot and has been through several repaints, currently forest camouflage. He's a hoot to play and makes a good NPC as he's owned by a player. I get to play a little too, but only at the command of a player. They learned real quick to give exact orders, though. "Open this locked door" invoked a flurry of blaster fire, which set off an alarm and the attention of some nearby troopers.
