Better CP systems?

Oh I see why it exists and for the most part I agree (avoiding min/maxing is always good). And yes, for skills if the character used it, it takes no training time, but for attributes it says that the training must be done and those are the worst culprits on time out for training.

True, attribute costs/time are a big pain, but with what they give, i think its worth it.

The rule for raising attributes is severely broke. It provides a variable benefit for a variable cost. How is that game balanced? Every PC gets 18D in attributes and the same number of skill dice. Allocate your attributes the way you want it in character creation. Use your CPs to raise skills in play. Raising attributes is unnecessary for this game, and I suggest eliminating it altogether.
