Greeting Rancor Pit, just thought I'd introduce myself. I am a long time role-player, dating all the way back to basic D&D in the summer of '79, from there I branched out into the other TSR games of the day, eventually moving on to systems by other publishers. My attitude towards role-playing systems can be summarized as, I have never met a system I didn't want to tweek.

What amazes me about d6 star wars is that in all my 'travels' I have never played it, and can only remember seeing in a store once. I started looking into it because one of the people in my group started running a d20 star wars game. Since I stopped liking anything d20 related a long time ago, and even with the changes over the years I just can't bring myself to like the system, I started looking into alternatives and that brought me to d6. There's a lot I like about it, but also a lot I'd like to tweek, but before I start posting in earnest, I thought I'd ask a question. As I have been lurking here for the past few weeks and reading through a lot of old posts, I was wondering what the forum had to say about resurrecting old threads?

Sorry about the delay in replying, but I have been a bit busy of late.

Thanks for the welcome and answering my question, in regards to reading before I post, I will actually be re-reading them as I have already read a good 80% of the threads in the house rules section, but probably only about 40% of the Official Rules Section.

Hello Gang.

Thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm very pleased to have found this forum. I use to play back in my Uni days in the mid 90's, and after remembering all the good times I had playing the game, I've been thinking about getting back into the wonderful universe of star Wars rpg.

I've been browsing the net for info on SW RPG and I'm happy to find some great info and players here who are passionate about the game. I've been buying plenty of books from ebay and I'm chomping at the bit to start playing again. I'm hoping to GM a game for the first time in the near future, so I hope you guys can help me with my noob questions.

I'm curious to what the average age here is. I'm 36

That may be a good average actually - I don't think there are many (if any) new WEG Star Wars players if only for the fact that they discontinued it a while ago and many younger players (that I'm aware of) prefer d20 systems to anything else. I'm 32 btw.

35 here, and between '92-'93 I was also GMing Star Wars in the UK, but way up in Scotland where I studied at the time.

Sadly, can't find a stable group here in Statesboro.

I've tried to introduce SWd6 to some of the younger kids here, but, sadly, they're all about either d20 or WW Sad

Ah, well... guess I'll keep trying...
