It seems to me that those rules for those weapons appear more akin to a shotgun then to full automatic weapon. Though the system would work fine if sustained fire were to spray an area or to give suppression fire. Too bad that fully automatic fire to a single target is still not properly represented, and that previously published weapons that are meant to hearken to full auto still don’t function that way.
I think I may amalgamate my previously stated house rule with this one, and then hopefully I’ll have all the bases covered. But there is no way to tell until its play tested.
Now I wonder how they would handle flechete launchers? _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

LocTaal this is for you. Though I can’t tell you whether on not its official, (a buddy of mind gave me a word DOC with a multitude of force powers, some official and some not I would guess).
Two-weapon combat
Control + Sense
Control difficulty: Difficult
Sense difficulty: Moderate
Required Powers: Lightsabre Combat, Combat Sense
Effect: This power allows a Jedi to wield two Lightsabres simultaneously. A character wielding two Lightsabres, who successfully activates the power, may attack and parry once each round with no multiple action penalties (one strike and one parry totals one action, not two), although other penalties still apply, including the penalty for keeping the power up. If a character makes no attack in a round and chooses only to parry, he receives a +2D bonus to parry and also receives a +2d bonus at attempts to deflect blaster blots. Other wise the power grants all bonuses given by the Lightsabre Combat power. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

lightsaber, yet another weapon that more than one isn't required
cinematic wise, 2 lightsabers is pretty cool, but realistically, why not just use one, and not deal with all the multiple action penalties of 2, if you're going to carry 2 lightsabers, only use the second if you lose the first or get disarmed or something, you know? |

I agree that realistically using one lightsaber would be easier than using two. But cinematically, it just pretty much rocks... _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

True, its stupid to want to wield two Lightsabres, but then again look at what game we are talking about here.
I think suspension of disbelief is kind of a given.
Besides, it just looks cool. 8) _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

Very cool. When Anakin was fighting with both lightsabers in AOTC, that was awesome! _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

Yeah, it was, but I think it that fight could have been filmed better. It really did not show all that much technique, but that might have been due to the actor ineptitude. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

True, but then again I would cut off the hand of a guy that called himself “Annie” as well. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

Right, after all what’s the point of playing a cinematic game if you can’t be cinematic? _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |
