garhkal the RAW is that the initiator of the action wins in the case of a draw, is it not? I seemed to remember reading that.

For actions itself, yes. Such as me shooting or punching you. I just have to equal or beat your dodge/brawl parry.
HOWEVER, initiative is not seen the same way.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Yeah, thanks. that's the rule I got muddled with.
This is why after realising my mistake and checking the rulebook, I edited the post with the actual RAW on tied initiative - a Re-roll in the event of a tie (SWRPG 2nd Ed R&E page 78 ).

Both methods have their uses, IMO. Regarding the Shadowrun method, I'm partial to it, but does it use the same values as D6? What I mean is, how common is it to get a 43 on Initiative in Shadowrun compared to SWD6 (using the method discussed above)? Is it the sort of thing where a base 10 system will port directly over, or would a different base value be more appropriate? _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Me either. As a general rule I try to keep rolling dice to the minimum possible number, and the initiative re-roll is one that can be simply cut.
