True, but all the capital ship action we see in the films happens so close that it is practically below Point Blank. Naturally, if you are as close to your target as ships were in the Battle of Coruscant and the Battle of Endor, dodging will be practically impossible, as at such close ranges, there is little time to react. At longer ranges, however, energy blasts will take a greater amount of time to transit the immense distances involved, so a capital ship weaving an erratic course will make a correspondingly more difficult target. In the end, though, its not the energy beam that you are dodging, its the person sitting at the console trying to fix you in his crosshairs and predict where you are going next. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
