Yes, adding +1D to base kick damage, cause why would a spin kick which is harder to pull off do less damage without some other bonus? _________________ RR

Yesterday we had a SW session. I explained all my concerns to my players and told them that I bring back the original FP rules (double for the whole round), but gaining FPs or even getting them back will be rather easy. Then I gave each player 1FP with note to use it wisely.
Also, before the game I took all character sheets and calculated all their dice (then translated to CPs). I had similar calculation from some time ago, so I could compare changes. I discovered that my self-taught Jedi spent at least 30CPs more than other players to improve rolls.
Having the proof of my previous concerns I explained everything to players and I think it worked.
Summarizing - I returned to RAW for FPs, didn't introduce any house rules for CPs. Told players that I don't return any spent CPs and that I'm not expecting from them to spend any CPs and that wounds are part of life.
Effect - only one CP spent in whole game, few cinematically screwed-up rolls, no FP spent. So far so good.
Thanks again for advice guys |

Glad to hear things are going well. There's a few threads over on RPG.net discussing people who alter/house-rule things before they've even played RAW, and it's an interesting concept.
Customization is something that most GMs are just going to do. But there are times where the RAW is simply the best thing to fall back on, being as it's tried and true and has been tested by so many people. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
