There was a thread way back on what would happen should the pc's get trapped beyond the event horizon of a black hole... most seemed to some up with some sort of 'technobabble gobbldygook to justify saving them.

Not surprising., It beats the alternative.
Most GMs would probably fudge it is the PCs ship intercepted the transmission of the Death Star's plans, and decided to take them to Bali Organa on Alderaan.
Few things put a damper on a campaign like the PCs getting killed off suddenly in a senseless fashion. |
