It sounds like a very cinematic solution. I would only allow the heroes to use this against NPCs. NPC versus NPC.... I don't know. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

Since I'm swiping from the Bond RPG, I'd probably do it the same way that game did, and let both sides use it defensively. So PCs can't take down Tarkin or Vader with a cheap shot.
Minor NPCs wouldn't have any CPs to spend,or at least not too many, and would get hit. Thus we end up with scenes like in the films where somebody gets ambushed and the "named" characters are unscathed while the "extras" drop all around them.
Plays can't get too cocky though, or they will eat up too many CPs, and pay for it later when it comes time to improve skills. |

True, they could burn through them.. But that also depends on how often and how many CP are awarded. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Of course. Makes sense that the GM could use this rule to save a recurring villain for next time. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Yup. You can't spend what you don't have. Unless you are in business or government. |
