Its been a while since I've played the campaign. Bit it seems to me that the Imperials had just a little Darkstryder technology and were seeking out more. It would be the same for the Sith, they would have a couple of items and be seeking more.

I haven't played it, but I have read through the boxed set and the three expansion books. Maybe I missed something, but it seemed pretty obvious to me that Sarne was always one step ahead of the FarStar because he was playing on his home turf, including already being in contact with DarkStryder and having access to the tech. Changing the plot so that the Sith are seeking the tech alongside the Jedi would require a major re-write.

I do not think I will be going that far. Its going to be a pain enough to have to replace all the ships and equipment from Imperial era to Clone wars era.

Alright, I am set to begin this campaign this weekend. I am having some difficulty coming up with role playing ideas for when the Farstar is in route between worlds. What kind if situations may occur while the ship is in hyperspace for the few days it takes to get between some worlds. Does anyone have any ideas what might help me out?

There are a lot of little things that you can do when the ship is in hyperspace.

1. An important item goes missing from one of the crew's quarters, the characters have been assigned to find out what happened to it. Or have one of the characters be blamed for the theft and send the characters on a quest to clear their friend (Works best on a session when a player isnt able to make it to the session.) The theif could be a crew member, an animal of some kind that has gotten on board, or simply be a case of the character misplacing the item.

2. A murder/mystery. One of the crew dies mysteriously, the characters follow leads in an attempt to discover the identity of the murderer.

3. The hyperdrive goes out on the FarStar and the characters are tasked with jumping back to the previous system to pick up the parts they need to repair the ship.

4. The ship is suddenly pulled out of huperspace by an unknown force. The characters attempt to discover the source of the problem.

5. Have the captain call a combat reddyness drill in the middle of the sleep cycle.

6. Download the rules for Sabbacc, set down at the table and have the players play a few rounds in character. (I've done this twice, and its been a blast both times.)

7. Scavanger Hunt! Present the characters with something of value to them, then send them on a wild goose chase to actually obtain the item.

8. Set up a little fight club on the hangar deck. This will give the players a chance to pit their characters against each other or against verious crew members for fun.

Thats all that comes to mind at the moment, but I'm sure there are a LOT of other things you could do.

Have some mishap cause an engineering explosion, so they automatically drop out of hyperspace and are 'smoking in the rear'... and not only do they have to assist in figuring out what it might be, but (lets say) the same event that caused it is still around and may cause another boom! So they need to figure out what it was/get away from it.

For anyone who's interested, we started our campaign this past weekend. We only had 2 people show up and 1 person participated via Skype. The players ended up changing their characters before the game started and we ended up with 1 Jedi, 1 Republic Special Forces, and 1 Cooperate executive who financed the trip and who is after the DarkStryder Technology. The campaign setting is heavily modified from the original Darkstryder campaign. For example, Sarne is now Mistress Sarne and is a fallen Jedi who left to join the Separatists. She later broke off from the Separatist cause and formed her own little empire after acquiring Darkstryder technology.

The adventure began on Kal’Sheboll and the characters participated in recruiting the Starfar crew and exploring the ruins of Sarnes palace. The character’s also engaged 2 Dark apprentices of Sarnes set to retrieve Darkstryder technology left behind in the palace. The players also interacted well with the NPCs provided in the campaign. The Jedi player challenged “Gorjaye” to flight sim duel and lost big time. So far, the players are interested and the outlook looks great. Please tell me what you all think and if the Rancor Pit community has any good suggestions!

Just curious to hear an update on how it's going. I still hope to run this one someday and would be interested to hear how things are playing out.

To be honest, it has not been running as planned. 3 out of 4 of my players are Jedi. That combined with changing the setting to the Clone Wars era, meant that I had to do some major changes to the over all story. For example, I have changed the campaign’s antagonist “Sarne” into “Mistress Sarne” who is a dark jedi. She then of course has lots of dark jedi minions to send at the players. I have also had to change the story of each of the pre-created adventures to make them fit into the clones wars era.

I am going to throw a lot of it out though starting our next gaming session. I am planning on just using the basic story line of each adventure and recreating the outcomes to fit where I want the campaign to go.

I have not had a chance to write out a narrative of our last adventure. As soon as I do, I will post it on here if anyone is interested.

You can count me as interested, but don't write anything up on my account.
