In a fighter squadron game I played in a few years ago we had a pilot whose wingman was a wookiee flight officer named Chumbawumba. I nearly killed him myself.

He's not kidding...

I saw it about 3 weeks ago and damn near laughed myself silly...

Specifically, it's in the Mos Eisley Galaxy Guide.

I ran a merc campaign which had a pair of Wookiees known as "the Goongalla Brothers" with the first names of "Habaccabacca" and "Hairblat." Smile

BTW, "Amidala" may happen to mean "tonsils" in Portuguese, but I doubt that's why Lucas named the character that.

Amidala is a near-anagram of "Dalai Lama". Padme and the current Dalai Lama were both teenagers ruling a nation attacked by outside forces and threatened to sign a treaty making the invasion legal. Also, "Amida" is a god that Buddhists pray to, and "Amydalla" means "beauty" in Buddhism.

Lucas is well documented as stating he is Buddhist, and in light of that I don't feel Amidala's name is so silly after all.

One night my roleplaying group (myself, 2 brothers, and my cousing) were together and were not planning on roleplaying, but wanted to do something. On a whim, we asked our wives if they wanted to roleplay, and they actually said yes (1st and only time).

We ran an off the cuff session with some unique characters. We had a Jos A and Jos B and a Princess Viagra.

Had a girl make a gungun named Gutto the gungun, with his go-go gungun staff. He died on the first mission.

Had an ewok named Pudge. Pudge found a cool cave on Endor with three well preserved human bodies with lightsabers. He was so excited by this that he failed a search roll on the way home and got eaten by a preducer.

Duke- just duke.... This guy started out as a spec ops character and has become very skilled. He was also captured by the Empire at one point and took part briefly in the construction of the first death star. He is still alive and well terrorizing the empire.

Dirk and Dank pair of human mercenaries created by a not too good player. They blew each other up.

I had a Meris Scholar of Agriculture called Raavik Sodturner, who ended up as a Brigadeer in the New Republic.

One of my players had the only human in the party and was struggling for a name - so To'Ken seemed appropriate to her. Still alive and well - for now.

Not SW - but lame PC names I have encountered recently: Mr Saturday & Bus.

The pregens I made for the first PenDragon game which I ever wrote ended up being particularly silly (mainly as I wrote them up first and never quite got around to changing the names, only noticing as I dished the sheets out)

Sir Amic
Sir Geo
Sir Junn
Sir Loin
Sir Vix
and one other who's name escapes me

A buddy of mine insists on Jane or Eric for all unimportant NPCs in his games. We've given up asking him to stop.

...In an Imperial Campaign, we had a cyborged assault shuttle pilot named Heironymous Bosche--pilot of the Q-36 "Assault Shuttle of Love". Survived the campaign, curiously enough (plenty of fire was throw his way--no other Gamma-class Assault Shuttle in the fleet had lips painted on the bow).

...An Ewok named Echuwawa that later became a Jedi (to nearly everyone's disgust).

...A droid saboteur named Microsoft, who caused computers to crash all over the Galaxy (Designer was named B'll G'tes--whom everyone made sure to put among the deceased early on).

...A defense droid named PL-8-TO, which would discuss philosophy with anything that didn't shoot at it.

...For D&D, a pair of axe-wielding Barbarian twins named "Hack" & "Slash"
(they could do just that to most opposition)

...A Drow Bladesinger named Q'uisin' aart (targeted by every archer in the Realm--was eventually tagged in ambush: 3 units of 20 archers each firing in unison)

...there's more than I'd care to admit, but that's a start anyway. Razz
