Hey man, birthdays are a celebration of someone's life. Wishing you a happy birthday isn't wishing you the effects of aging. That's inevitable and happens no matter what.

The Thanks part was serious.
The first part was just being funny.

Due to an auto-payment service issue that is no fault of my own, my gas got turned off today so I have no heat in my home. The past due amount was paid soon after the disconnection (plus a $52 reconnection fee) and the order is in to turn our service back on, but they could not come back same day so we have no heat until they do sometime tomorrow (8:30am-11:00pm, they serious won't narrow it down). The temperature outside has hovered around freezing all day today and will continue to do so overnight, but tomorrow evening it will start to dip down into the 20s. This is without the wind chill factor. It is getting really cold in here now.

Thankfully the heat is back on now. We only went about 24 hours without heat.

Blessed respite! It got up in the 50s today, and most of the ice melted. Tomorrow will also be in the 50s plus it will rain a lot so all the ice will melt. Yay!

After getting up to the 30s Monday and the 40s yesterday, today it got up to at least 77° today. It was beautiful outside. After work I through the football with my son. This late at night, it's still 70° right now.

But it's supposed to get down in the 20s and snow a bit early Friday morning. Yippee ki-yay.

It's 4.4° Celsius here right now and I am all the way down on the 40th parallel. Tonight it is getting down below 0° Celsius with snow flurries.

Today it is 72°F (22.2°C) in the Phoenix area. Sounds like it us downright frigid in many other places now...

A lot of places are a lot colder than Phoenix.

And a lot of places have a lot it worse than us. In Columbus it's in the 20s° and we only got a dusting of snow tonight.

Stay warm and safe!

So far we've been pretty lucky here in the Berkshires. What snow we had this week didn't stick, and the temps have been ranging between low 20s to mid 30s. That will change...likely with little notice. Lots of heavy winds this week though.

Last night we got a lot of snow. Right now it is -7, wind chill factor -34 (Fahrenheit).

While I was out working up a sweat shoveling the sidewalks before work, I came inside to find we had lost power. They are estimating a restoration of late afternoon. Internet also went out separately so I don't know if I'll have internet when power is restored.

I need to conserve power on my phone so I'll be logging off now. Stay warm and safe everyone!
