Indeed. The spreadsheet format is handy. And thanks to DougRed for kicking this off.

already done.... Very Happy

Should have everything here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wpbAUfC-gu_6kufhv3q0hCbJRATUMeQzdte4FT66lpI/edit?usp=sharing

Instead of downloading and uploading it to the Rancor Pit Library, do you mind if I just put a link directly to this google doc?

I don't mind at all
That doc is shared to all with the link, so it's unrestricted it that sense.

It doesn't take much room on my drive so also as far as I'm concerned it can sit and be available.

And you're all welcome.

If it helps anyone in some small way to create NPCs then that's fine by me.

~Ty

Thanks. Done.

No problem, glad to help.

Excel did most of the heavy lifting once I figured out formulas.

Actually, can someone check the link real quick?

I moved the file in my Google drive (so I wouldn't accidentally remove it) and though I'm fairly certain the link stays the same would like someone to verify.

Discovered an error I made that also made it into the sheet (probably my fault why Ty's sheet is wrong, too).

I was under the mistaken impression that when one went from 4D+2 to 5D that it cost 5, but I see by the rules that it actually costs 4.

So a number of these are wrong, and should cost 1 more. For example, to go from 3D to 4D should cost 9:

3D to 3D+1 is 3
3D+1 to 3D+2 is 3
3D+2 to 4D is 3

Sorry for any extra work this will entail. Embarassed

I may have already seen and fixed that in the latest version:

The 3D row shows that to go from 3D to 4D costs 9cps, so multiples of 3 as expected.

Likewise to go from 4D to 5D it costs 12cps, so multiples of 4 as expected.

this is correct, yes?

Thanks for checking garkal!

If anyone downloaded a version please double check that your copy shows that an increase from 3D to 4D equals 9cp as shown in the images above to make sure you have the corrected version.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

I based the three additional tabs (specializations, advanced and attributes) off the corrected version of the first tab so assuming you have the full four tab version, it should also be correct.

If anyone else notices anything that looks off, phase let me know.

This is very useful! Thanks, Ty! I still use your D6 rolling app.

However, when I build NPCs, I typically just decide how good they are and on what scale they're operating, using the Terrible to Best in the Galaxy table. I've found it saves time.

I've also started rolling randomly to set difficulty levels for entire scenes, using Physical, Mental, and Social as my broad skill groupings a quick 2D roll sets the difficulty between: 7 and 42 very quickly.

2: 7
3: 10
4: 14
5: 17
6:21
7: 24
8: 28
9: 31
10: 35
11: 38
12: 42

I'll use these difficulties for all checks for the remainder of the scene, and then will roll again when moving on to something else.

I'm not sure if this is helpful for anyone else, but I've been using it quite a bit in my solo play and I've found that it speeds up game play immensely.

I can't find the updated version. When I look at the older links in this thread, or the one found on the Rancor Pit LIBRARY of Fan-Made Supplements, they both seem to have the old/wrong info.

that's really weird the only version I see is the new version when I go to the link.

I can upload it again to a different location, to a different link, see if that works for you?

if the other link works for others, I'll leave that one there and available, but we can try again for you?

Try clearing your cache.
