Cosian
The reptilian Cosians have a hunched posture and gentle demeanor that leaves an impression of harmlessness, helplessness, or even senility- but that could not be further from the truth. The sharp minds and keen senses of the Cosian are valued among adventurers, constantly observing and eager to learn more about the larger galaxy. The combination of an aged sense of wisdom and a genuine childlike excitement at the discovery of new places and beings casts the Cosian as a bit of a paradox. Any Cosian will tell you that they are simply taking each day as it arrives, and that anyone who believes they have learned all there is to learn is doing themselves a great disservice.

Cosians are calm, straightforward thinkers. They often only take action after they are assured of the outcome, making them masterful players of Dejarik and other tests of wit and strategy. The more active Cosians find work as detectives and advisers, using their analytical thinking to work out solutions to problems most are unaware even exist.

Cosians are a Species of reptilian bipeds possessing beaked mouths, four-fingered hands, stranded hair, and a long, muscular tail ending with a tuft of hair. A typical Cosian grows to a height of 1.8 meters, and most male Cosians grow out a wispy beard, giving them the appearance of a wise old hermit.

Crolute
Aliens of aquatic origin from the Mid Rim planet of Crul. Hulking and gargantuan, They had buoyant, gelatinous body tissue. When removed from their saltwater surroundings, Crolutes' bodies sagged unsettlingly on their frames, giving them the appearance of a melted blobfish. They had flipper-like feet, much like the Mon Calamari. They could hold their breath for hours at a time.

History
The ancestors of the Crolute species lived in the warm, shallow seas of Crul, and first came ashore during the planet's summers, when bulls fought for mates and guarded breeding colonies on the beaches. The species underwent millions of years of evolution, adapting to life on land despite still loving the water, and eventually evolved into Crolutes who kept a clan-based society run by bulls and alpha-cows.

Society and Culture
Crolutes lived in the saltwater oceans of their homeworld, and were surprisingly graceful and agile swimmers. They adapted to life on land, forming a clan-based society and creating breeding colonies on the beaches where bulls fought for mates. Alpha-bulls kept harems of junior spouses and concubines, and were constantly challenged by younger bulls and cows. Crolutes were naturally aggressive and ruthless, but actual violence was limited as disputes were typically settled with ritualized displays of intimidation and dominance.

Clan compounds were constructed around lagoons, and the species retained a love of the water. Alpha bulls and cows lived in mansions with deep, lavishly-decorated immersion tanks, which were favored sites for diplomatic and trade negotiations. Clan leaders debated while floating on their backs and gorging on banquets of gastropods and fermented kelp-ichor.

Hassk
A species of subhumanoids native to Hasskyn. Their bodies were almost entirely covered with cream-colored fur. Their faces, however, were hairless, revealing grey or cornflower blue skin. They had sensitive ears, two large forward-facing eyes that could be orange in hue and gave them a keen night vision. Their mouths were filled with flesh-tearing fangs and had powerful jaws that could cause serious damage. Despite being sentient, the Hassks had a fierce behavior, suggestive of wild animals, and their culture was primitive. Multiple births were known to occur among them, with the siblings being referred to as littermates.

Utai
A species of short, stubby humanoids with distended eyes that hailed from Utapau. They shared their homeworld with the Pau'ans as well as with immigrated species, including groups of Amani and Sugi.

The Utai made up the labor class on Utapau, as they were humble by their nature, while the Pau'ans made up the modest patricians. The two races, collectively known as the Utapauns, had a symbiotic relationship and lived in cities that were constructed into Utapau's massive sinkholes. Their shared homeworld remained neutral in the Clone Wars, a galactic conflict fought between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Galactic Republic until, in the year 19 BBY, the Confederacy invaded the planet. Feigning acceptance of Separatist rule, the Utai and Pau'ans prepared to rebel.
