This isn't how particle beam weapons are described as working in the SWU, never mind the fact that particle beam weaponry is almost unheard of in-universe. I'm hesitant to add something completely new to the SWU simply to have one more item on a list that is already extremely long.

The only use of concussion-based beam weaponry that I'm aware of is in the Dark Forces FPS series, where the concussion rifle was practically a bazooka, not something that would fit under the barrel of a standard blaster rifle.
