As old a design as the Rin Assid Bulk Hauler, this ship is seen less and less every year. But, despite that, it's still a semi-common sight in the Galaxy, and gets very little notice. It's design was originally intended for Merchant Scouts who go out into the galaxy and find new places to start trade with, but is also commonly used as a light freighter. It has also been used by starting Bounty Hunters, who convert part of the cargo bay into a prison cell, and using the rest of the ship's cargo bay to pay the bills as a freight hauler.

While it usually doesn't come stock with weapons, it does have two hardpoints equipped to mount any energy weapons upon them easily (+5 to rolls to install up to two Blaster, Laser, or Ion Cannons in the front fire arc.).

				| It's the first. The Talon, Demon, Galaxy, and Orion is next.
 Maybe the Centurion, too.

The Talon In-System Fighter came out a few years before the Z-95 Headhunter and the Cloakshape fighters did, and was considered the best of the lot with top of the line technology. Those fighters, however, killed the Talon's reputation. That, with orders cancelled, killed Turrow-Avionics and alot of the fighters were dumped on the market at cut-rate prices. This actually brought the demand for the fighters up again, as a low-cost alternative to the new (And expensive) Z-95 or Cloakshape Fighters. Alot of companies across the Outer- and Mid-Rim factories have reverse engeneered them, and they are in production well into the Clone Wars.

The Tagge Company's primary light freighter used for their own purposes, alot of these are also made for public sale, and refurbished ones are usually for sale at used Starship lots as well (Not to mention quite a few get stolen by Shipjackers, as well.). While only lightly armed, with no shields, the equipment for an additional laser and a shield generator is stock with the vessel (+5 to add a Shield Generator, or to add an additional Laser Cannon to the Front Fire Arc, no extra cost/equipment for fire linking it), and Ventral and Dorsal Turrets can be easily added, although they require about as much work as usual to add. They are considered somewhat odd outside of planets that don't deal directly with TaggeCo., but these are few and far between (Any planet that didn't have trade with the Old Republic, really.).

Although intended for Law Enforcement Transport of dangerous criminals, the Demon is more often seen in the hands of members of the Bounty Hunters Guild (The Guild provides the licences to purchase this craft.). Some blockade runners have also gotten their hands on these craft, and use modified versions of them to perform their dangerous work.

A Pirate Craft used in Asteroid Fields with Mining Colonies on them, they usually ambush lone Freighters when they come in with cargo, or, better yet, when they leave with a nice hold full of rich ore! There is no standard configuration to this craft, each is individual, but this is a good general basis for the craft. With the power systems down, they look just like Asteroids, and have, on occasion, been eaten up by Automated Mining Vessels. After the New Republic got a foothold on the Empire, these ships have been showing up more and more, as Tie Fighter Pilot Flightsuits are perfect for this craft.

Wow, this is one from the Vaults! I don't even remember writing these until you brought them up!

*Sighs* No Wing Commander games in any recent time. Is a pity.

				| Sorry for pulling this one out of the clone vat, but I always loved WC and its ships.
I also assumed that whoever wrote "Stock Ships" did too, and cribbed the Lantillian Short Hauler from the Tarsus and the ZH-25 Questor as the Galaxy... and I thought the MRX Pacifier scout ship was about what I pictured for the Centurion.

Anyway, I have messed with converting these ships for a d6 Space game I've never gotten around to, so here's my stab at the Orion:

 Craft: Orion-class light freighter
 Type: Stock Light Freighter
 Scale: Starfighter
 Length: 30 meters
 Skill: Space Transports/Orion
Crew: 2 (can coordinate); skeleton 1/+10
 Crew Skill: Varies tremendously
 Passengers/Escape Pods: 8/0
 Subordinate Craft: cargo skiff
 Cargo Capacity: 150 metric tons
 Consumables: 3 months
 Hyperdrive Multiplier: x2
 Hyperdrive Backup: x15
 Navicomp: Yes
 Cost: 30,000 (used)
 Maneuverability: 0D
 Space: 3
 Atmosphere: 260; 750 km/h
 Hull: 5D
 Shields: 2D
 Sensors:	Passive 25/1D
 Scan 50/2D
 Search 75/2D+2
 Focus: 3/3D

 Weapons:
 Laser Cannon
 Fire Arc: Turret (Dorsal)
 Skill: Starship Gunnery
 Fire Control: 2D
 Space Range: 1-3/12/25
 Atmos Range: 100-300/1.2/2.5 KM
 Damage: 4D

This ship is very durable, carrying heavy armor and shields at the cost of maneuverability. This strong and sturdy ship is popular with mercenary teams (who double-bunk the passenger staterooms) and with exploratory traders on routes with stops on “hot” worlds. It is also occasionally shipjacked and used by pirates.

				| For a 7D base total soak possibility, I'd increase cost on the ship a bit, but other than that it looks alright.
I'd also add in escape pods... otherwise the ship would never likely be able to be sold anywhere legally.
