Element of Fire - IC- Episode II First Contact

The Great Sith War rages across the galaxy, threatening to tear the Republic apart. On Ossus the Jedi assemble a team to locate an amulet of such power that it could well tip the scales of the war in the Sith's favor should it fall into their hands. Their first stop in their mission is to the planet Ambria, where they seek the counsel of Jedi Master Thon. From there they travel to Muzara, having been joined by Charn Astoid at the behest of Master Thon, in order to try and find the artifact ahead of the Sith.

Unfortunately for the team, it appears the Sith arrived on Muzara just ahead of them. Jedi Knight Keval Raffaan, the team's contact on Muzara, is attacked by the Sith and portions of his memory wiped clean so as to unwittingly lead the team into a trap at the ruins of Kabus-Dabeh. Yet the team manages to overcome the challenges they face and find a way into the pyramid, only to discover the Sith had once again been there before them. And thanks to the Sith's sloppiness in trying to cover their tracks, as well as leaving one of their followers behind, the team not only learns something of the amulet's nature and where their next stop is but also who the Sith their up against are.

The team departs for Exis Station to find a Jenet information broker named Possel, leaving Charn behind as he volunteered to stay and assist Jedi Raffaan in his duties on Muzara. As they make their way to the station, news finally reaches them of Exar Kun's appearance at Ulic Qel-Droma's trial to rescue his captured apprentice. The two only manage to leave after Kun faces his former master, Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, in a duel to Master Vodo's death. And across the galaxy the darkness keeps spreading as word of the murders of other Jedi Masters at the hands of their own students trickle in, as well as the attempted murder of Master Thon at the hands of his student Oss Willum and the ex-Cathar Jedi Crado, Kun's fellow student under Master Vodo.

The balance of power appears to be shifting in favor of the Sith. Especially now that they have the amulet. But why were they heading to Exis Station? What does Possel know that could return things to the Jedi and the Republic's favor. So much is riding on the team's shoulders, perhaps more than anyone knows.

The Raptor, after nearly two weeks in hyperspace, returns to sublight space to find the Teedio system a busy hive of activity. Looking through the bridge's viewport the team can see Exis station as the hub of all this activity. Even as they watch the comm unit begins to flash.

Roth, having managed to assist every now and again with ship's duties WITHOUT blowing it up, or causing the repulsorlifts to accidentally fire, or any other mishaps, reaches over and toggles the comm unit on, opening a channel to the station.

A small thrill runs through him as the next chapter of their mission begins to unfold. He has spent the time in hyperspace working with Syllri and Daevon, poring over the training materials provided to them at the onset of their mission, and Roth has experienced growth in the Force. He is looking forward to continuing his growth even as they work to find this elusive Sith artifact.

Roth nods at Syllri and responds to Control. "Control, this is the Raptor. We're here to conduct a little business, then perhaps engage in some R&R."

Syllri follows the coordinates given and within minutes the Raptor is making it's landing. Syllri smoothly moves the ship into it's docking slip, touching down with only the slightest bump. He then follows Daevon back to the ramp, Be'aal having already geared up and lowered it. Roth checks his lightsaber quickly before hiding it and following the others off the ship.

As the crew disembarks, a Twi'lek approaches. An air of authority seems to emenate from the man as he moves. He glances at Be'aal as he moves off towards a terminal, but merely shrugs and turns his full attention to the other members of the Raptor's crew.

"Welcome to Exis Station. I'm Mesward Sha of Exis Station Port Authority, which one of you is the captain of this ship."

As he speaks his eyes fall on Daevon.

"Uh, who does this thing belong to? Does it have all it's shots? We also have a very strict leash law and it will have either remain on a leash while on the station or be sent to quarintine until you leave."
