Or if they're introduction was some form of ritualised insult or challenge
You know to test the strength of a potential ally.
One I think it might have been star trek eppisode I watched had a first contact that consisted of kidnapping the captain of the ship and dumping him and the captain of the alien ship into a very hostile location and then they had to work togther to survive despite neither one understanding each other's language.
Perhaps some sort of variation on that theme |

One of the X-Wing books had the Entire Planet crazy over Starfighter Pilots. They refused to deal with Politicos.
So, Wedge and company had to do the Diplomatic thing...
"That's saying something soothing while you pull the trigger, right?"
Worked out in the end... All they had to do was start a Planetary War. Nothing major for someone who survived both Death Stars. |

The Players must:
convince a half dozen markets/restaurants/farmers/to supply food
convince a few wealthy individuals/banks/business' to supply money
build a network of informers
recruit one or two spies for sensitive placement
obtain three sources of weapons and other military equipment
find a way to distribute Rebel propoganda
get a local gang to spread anti-Imperial sentiment (and graffiti?)
whatever else helps to overthrow The Empire, etc, etc...
oh yeah, plan and supply the strike to destroy the Imperial Star Destoyer
currently in spacedock for repairs...
do all of this without being identified by the ISB
Obviously, this group of players are the leaders of the Rebel network in this city/planet - not the strike team. Makes for a good change of pace. Of course it works best when the leaders are respected because it's known they're already accomplished warriors. _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.
