|

Obviously, shooting a blaster at something with magnetic sealing is a bad idea, and we all know what happens next. I 'think' I saw D6 rules (official or not) for what happens in something - anybody happen to know where, or was I getting it mixed up with the D20 rules?
Thanks. |

Interesting concept.
I did not find anything after a few searches - but that does not mean it is not SOMEWHERE - just that I could not find it.
I would either just say it reflects them randomly (roll for fun) or if maybe a higher scale blast hit one, it could burn though.
However - a lot of the other players here are a LOT better than I am in finding obscure rules. _________________ SW Fan, Gamer, Comic, Corporate nerd.

Intention is to use magnetic sealing as part of a security system trap - hallway with a pair of automated sentry blasters (light repeaters - or four rifle/pistol class ones) - that's magnetically sealed. Meaning that if the sentry blasters open up, all hell's going to break lose.
Avoiding the corridor entirely if you're trying to break in is a good idea. |

I don't recall rules that would apply in an Imperial trash compactor or similar but I would adjudicate an uncontrolled blaster ricochet scenario as a hostile environment for the characters, and I would call for a survival roll. This would be like characters moving through an active volcanic terrain or hailstorm. It might be helpful to consult the Survival skill. |

Can you imagine the horror on players faces if they found themselves walking into a trap to make USE of those magnetic seals similar to trash compactors? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I think it would be a novelty but not very dangerous. Our star warriors were in much more danger of getting squashed or eaten by the Dianoga in the compactor. The GM will be more entertained than the players at they sweat a bit. |
