I forgot to update the above. My son's illness was pretty mild. He had a sore throat, runny nose, and felt a little tired for a few days. We didn't quarantine him to his room or make him wear a mask inside, but we also didn't get right up in his face. And since the pandemic started, we started a system where we each have our own hand towels in the restrooms of our home.

Several days after my son tested positive, I felt minor allergy symptoms so I tested for covid and it came back negative. My wife also tested during this time and it came back negative. The vaccines worked. My son is vaccinated too but his teacher was standing right in front of him yelling at the class on a day she later tested positive for covid.

My son missed four days of school due to covid, but by Sunday he was ok to play flag football (and allowed to by their rules).

Covid has entered my home again. My wife tested positive tonight. So far it seems fairly mild.

My wife finally tested negative for covid last night. I've had some allergy symptoms off and on so I also tested to make sure she hadn't pass it to me, and I also tested negative. My wife still has a minor cough that hasn't completely gone away yet, but otherwise seems back to normal.

In the past year since my last booster, my son and my wife have both separately had covid.

I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to get the new covid booster tonight after work.

AFAIK, everyone in the family had covid boosters. My sister, her husband & both kids got covid for the holidays & still have it.
Mom got the flu but that lasted about a week, she's better now.
Last night after midnight, mom had to go pick up my sister & nephew from the hospital, where he was getting a battery of tests for abdominal pain. Aside from the covid, he was in 'perfect' health, so thank God for that.
A bad reaction to some vitamins is the top suspect at the moment.
i am grateful my dad & i didn't get sick.

i hope everyone is doing well.
