Thank you, now I can find it =)

Next, I was pointing out that the KX-series was in this one and the Chewie and Forest of Fear one. At the time, I knew that FFG had stats for the KX-series, but no one had made a conversion of it or of any of the stats presented in any of the FFG books. You saying you made a conversion of the Starships and Speeders stats is the first I've heard of it. Can you post a link to it , as well as any other FFG books that might have been converted.

On Mar-15-2021 Whill posted the file to THE LIBRARY of FAN-MADE SUPPLEMENTS thread.

On Mar-17-2021 you even commented.

I guess I got caught up in the Easter Egg comment.

Embarassed Rolling Eyes

Seriously, you need more emoticons. I can think of three right now because I feel they'd be appropriate right now. Getting a black eye from a punch. Slamming my head into a wall. And of course, D'OH!!!!

Every completed document Don has shared here, I have added to the Library. I always announce when I add something to the Library. But you can always just periodically go there and look for things. I suggest adding the Library to your bookmarks/favorites to be able to navigate straight there without having to link through the forum. For your convenience, many browsers allow you to control-F or command-F on a web page to then bring up a text box that you can type words in to "find on page." That function is exact text (except capitalization). In this case you could just type "speeders" and find the document. Some mobile browsers may have a version of the "find in page" function too.

Once again, well done, Don.

Thanks for including in this book, some of my write-ups for the old Rogue One project — Dean is actually fairly close to moving that forward to its final stages btw, as we had to revise, update or fill out a lot of the entries. I do want to make one co-credit addition however, re: my co-statting Chirrut Îmwe.

I came up with at least half, if not most of Chirrut Îmwe's write-up and still have the draft doc we co-authored. Most notably, I chose all of the Martial arts techniques, adjusted at least half of the attribute and skill levels, included the scholar: Guardian of the Whills doctrine and investigation: character assessment specializations, and came up with the original "Inward Eye" and "Mantra" martial arts techniques (basing them on certain Force powers), etc. More recently, I even revised my previously too high skill die code minimum cited in Mantra from 12 to 6D, a more manageable, but still expert level, that reflected mastery. (The 6D level is what will appear in the Rogue One sourcebook.)

No biggie, but as I'm already credited on others I'd done for Rogue One in this Guardians of the Whills book, I'd like to be credited with one of the write-ups I'm most proud of. Thank you.

I am sorry, I remember working on this with you and the very enjoyable creative back-and-forth (I miss that a lot btw). It has been corrected for the v1.11 release. Thank you for bringing to my attention so I could give credit where it's due.

Thank you for adding my missing co-credit. Much appreciated.

And I agree that we did a lot of good work back in the day. But as I said at length via email (some of which I'll repeat below), unfortunately, it was more of an exercise in frustration for me than fun.

A bit of a tangent but it goes to the point above: Restricting this to characters, I felt compelled to join so many of those projects, because it was creatively heartbreaking to see so many incredible characters potentially see print like they had in previous sourcebooks, called "done" while missing crucial, important, or simply interesting information. Info that either had direct bearing on their stats or gave their write-ups much needed development, depth and nuance. Moreover, most if not all of that firsthand background info is readily available.

Again, some hyperbole here, but it was frustrating having to constantly "save" the characters from that "half-finished cursory glance" fate. I felt compelled to jump in because I couldn't bear to see a great character "mistreated."

Again, no offense intended, as your output is prolific and I certainly have neither the time nor opportunity to match that. And this should go without saying that this is my opinion and experience. My way is not the highway, etc. I am not saying my take is better, surely I make mistakes, stat things in a way people disagree with, etc, but it will never fall short because of lack of research.

Simply put, it was exhausting to constantly provide the missing research and missing information while you'd already moved on to the next thing, with tons of incomplete or incorrect stats in place that were written without doing the research firsthand, or going back to review when necessary. It's research others are willing to do. Even now, having to accidentally happen upon a missing credit for myself for a character I'd put in a lot of work on? Frustrating. I realize it was a simple oversight as you did credit me for other entries, but it's emblematic of the weaknesses in your overall approach.

In any case, I hope you take the feedback I offered earlier, via email and on the Pit. And this is, of course, not about Chirrut but in general: I understand it might be that you don't have the time, but if you are devoting the time to do tons of sourcebooks, please devote the time to improve your research. It will improve your work by leaps and bounds.

Like with your Tomb Guardian, just posted over in characters, my feedback, if you cannot play the game, is to watch YouTube playthroughs of the specific levels. Do more firsthand research with your own two eyes, review it, multiple times if necessary, and rely less on the hard work of others.

Not trying to be mean, with all this frank language. Genuinely trying to help you take your stats to the next level. You're a good guy, and are very generous with your time, and have given a LOT to the community over the years!

Nonetheless, in my view, you just need to say, "hey, you know what? I should read those comics/books first before statting someone out, because then I'd know that this character does X and that X is not mentioned on Wookieepedia."

As I said via e-mail, we all do it for the love. Allow your love for the projects to extend to taking greater care with the research and “quality control”, and everything will improve overall. From not omitting credits (again, no biggie), to more importantly getting better developed statblocks, thus improving your sourcebooks overall!
