Of course, with Melee Weapons, that can run into the weapon cap pretty quickly... a wookie should punch someone rather than use a knife, IIRC.

That's why i HR melee to where someone CAN go above cap. BUT if they do, any damage they dish out OVER that cap, is dealt TO The weapon's body, possibly breaking it.

IMO no matter how much damage someone's fist is dealing out, they shouldn't be punching holes in STEEL DOORS or concrete walls.... OR in walkers etc..

As far as a regular non Force Sensitive uses FP it can be applied as an "ineffective weapon", but when a Force user boosts this way...I do not know..yet.

At least, not in this genre. Maybe if you're playing Mutants & Masterminds or something.

Exactly. See R&E p.69...

Use Your Judgment. You have to use your judgment to decide what is and isn't possible in the game. You have to decide what's "reasonable" and "in the spirit of Star Wars," making sure that no one takes advantage of the game system.

Every game system — including Star Wars — has a few "holes" that some players will exploit. It's your job to decide what's possible.

It doesn't matter if the player argues that if she rolls well enough her Jedi character can throw Star Destroyers around with the Force. If you think that's taking advantage of the rules — "If this was possible, why did Yoda have to work so hard to levitate Luke's X-wing?" — your decision is what counts.

If a GM says you can't punch a hole in a blast door, then it doesn't matter what you roll. The GM has executive override power over all rules and rolls.

Thanks for the back up whill.. Yes, to me, punching solid steel, no matter HOW hyped up you are on the force, darkside or drugs, is NOT a good idea (you'll need to roll the 'damage you are dishing out AGAINST yourself)..

Well, since SW is not limited to ordinary humans - for whom, I agree, some feats should be impossible regardless of the roll - a GM should stick to:

mentioned above as it depends on the particular situation.

Sometimes steel door are insignificant next to the power of...
