I liked how Telsij handled disruptors with his write-up of the Amban pulse rifle:

On any Mortally Wounded damage result or greater (13+ difference between damage roll and resistance), target is co ...

I wanted to point out a continuity/timeline concern. In the EU (introduced by WEG), the "Ghorman Massacre" took place early in the Empire – It was described as Moff Tarkin landing a ship o ...

Scheduling is rough.

I have run two games in the past year or so. One imploded for about 10 months because two out of the four players have kids and they're getting to that age where the parents ar ...

I don't know if starting a second X-wing Alliance thread is necessary. My post above outlines the systemic problem. WEG never corrected any of their stats, they copy/pasted them again and again, error ...

With so many inconsistencies, different authors and .... some quite special writeups here and ...

OR they made the mistake once, then said "to heck with it" and left it that way.

In 2e, Han Solo (GG 3, pg. 81) Han Solo has a 7d in Blaster, and a 5d+1 in his Blaster: Blaster Rifle specialization.

My assumption is that he got really good at blasters over time (His DEX is a 3 ...

Per the Andromeda Wiki, a Nova Bomb disrupts a star's equilibrium by negating its gravity, causing a runaway fusion reaction. This sounds similar in principle to the Resonance Torpedoes

That's almo ...

I usually make a squib orbital yard. In the orbit of one of the outlying planets in a system, I have a squib merchant set up a junkyard around a gravity generator. Lots of room, doesn't affect the e ...

Spirit of the rules.

Disagree.

As I said WAAAY back in my first post, I imagine this is a common house rule, but it's not the way the rules are explicitly written. I'm not even arguing that the ...

Your argument evokes what makes ...

The Specialization can not be LESS than the base skill, this is why it states that once the base skill is equal (or higher) the caharacter is not specilaized.

Once the base skill is equal or higher the character is no longer specilaized, BOTH are in fact RAW, the quote you made here is until the base skill is higher.

I think that's a misreading of what ...
