I think I've found an error in the Starships book. The V-Wing has a Space rating of 17, twice as fast as an X-Wing, where, according to Wookiepedia, it has a MGLT of 75 which is halfway ...

. . . They didn't include the conversion charts in the back of the 2nd ed R&E book, though, so you weren't going to find them in that book.

Where did you manage to dig that up from Grimace? If you say the 2nd Ed R&E version I'll kick myself!

I don't know that using this 1st edition method for finding Max Speeds is the way to go. . .
I meant for finding the relationship between the old Sublight Die Codes and the new fixed Space rating.

Have also realised that I can't figure out how Victory Points for 'new' ships are calculated. It doesn't say how in Star Warriors. Unless I missed it.

. . . And regarding 1st edition Speed Dice, no, the conversion is not direct like that. I don't quite remember how it goes, but it's much more esoteric.

I may need to track down a 1st Ed sourcebook ...
