Maybe he's an early stage of Master Thon's race. Kinda like how the Codru-Ji start out as wyrwulves. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Well, since there is the case of Master Thon, don't see what could stop you from doing that if you choose. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Ok, I recently received a question on attributes and starting skills. So for everyone's knowledge, just in case you were wondering if it was going to be different since it is a different era of play, you can start with 18D in attribute and add 7D for distribution among your skills. Having looked at a few of the tmeplates in the TotJ Companion, I'd say start with between four and seven skills max for a given attribute and as few as no skills in that attribute if you feel your character wouldn't have yet learned the skills there or is unable to use them. All WEG templates are open, just remember to change some of the skills as they would not be in use at this time.
Also, it looks like they hadn't yet started to use vibro-weapons, so weapons of that type would be standard nonpowered versions. I did take a look at Dark Lords of the Sith last night as I needed to check something for some minor NPC characters and I got a scene with an actual comlink appearing and being refered to as such. The TotJ Companion refers to a PTP link as the personal communications device, but since there is a comlink, I'd say both exsist and comlinks may just be beginning to appear. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Do we get any starting equipment? Like, when I GM, I give everyone a certain amount of credits on hand and a certain amount of credits worth of gear they can/could've aquired up until the start of the game. Like They have $1000 actual credits and $2000 credits worth of stuff. Anything like that? _________________ Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional! |

I've never run an adventure without starting equipment. Personally, no starting equipment would really mean a beginning character, one with no skills and no anything else. Credits wise, start with between 500 and a 1,000 credits. Jedi characters should probably start with a lightsaber unless there is some reason why they may not carry one such as they haven't yet built one. Non-Jedi characters can start with a pulse-wave weapon or two, a melee weapon, a couple of grenades, an auto-caster, and/or even a wrist-caster. All characters that want can start with some concussion armor and non-jedi characters may choose to start with non-modified flex armor. Also all characters can choose to start with a comlink/PTP link, a med-aid (the era's version of the medkit), and wide scan binocs. 2,000 in credits for starting gear is good looking at some of the prices. I'll also give the characters a chance to requisition some supplies before starting out so you may even choose to start with no equipment. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Do you have all you need, or could you use another player? I will most likely be able to post several times a day, M-Sat. Won't be around on Sundays. I'm looking to run a Jedi, so let me know if you have the room. Any other particulars, pm me and we'll get it done. |

Sorry, I'm afraid right now I've got all I think I can start with. However, depending on how things go I may very well open up some more spaces if I think I can handle another player. And if someone drops out, there will be an open space as well. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

D'OH!!!
That's alright... I'll still go ahead and work up a Jedi to have ready for insertion into the game, and I'll do my best to keep up with the progress. I'll be working up a couple different Jedi to run, and they'll be from a couple different eras, so we'll be ready for about anything! |
