Yup, the things I read basically suggest to me that the SE4s or so uptight and such that they make 3PO units look laid back. We'll see if I can actually pull that off.

Cool. It's on. Ohhh.. it's ON!

I foresee a lot of friction between these characters. I mean, on one side we have a servant droid that likes to teach people manners and a noble and refined farghul saber rake, on the other we have an anti-social tarro smuggler and a gloomy and coarse utai mechanic.

But before we begin, isn't it better if you explain a little better how this is going to work, lay down the rules? Like, how much freedom we have to create the situations, how long should we wait for the other participants input before moving on with a scene, etc.

Maybe we should set a type pattern for actions and speech, for exemple:

Toba comes out of the engine bay, rubbing his dirty hands on his even dirtier coveralls.

"Well, that's that. We are all gonna die here. It's already taken too long, if you ask me. ...which you won't."

Toba draws his hidrospanner and smacks Mr. Neofelis on the right kneecap.

Yes, it'll be a lot like that, just a little more general on the description of actions that may require a skill check. Like:

Toba draws his hydrospanner and swings it at Mr. Neofelis' right kneecap.

Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the storyline and post completed actions. I don't always change them unless I roll the dice and see if it works or not. But please, let's keep the posts general as far as your character's actions are involved.

Ok, got that. Now what I'm a bit concerned is how you would deal with Mr. Neofelis' reaction to that. Would you wait for him to reply saying:

Cyn tries to avoid the blow by sidestepping and then tries to get a hold of the hidrospanner.

Or would you just roll initiative and then my melee combat against his brawling parry, and then say:

Toba smacks Cyn on the kneecap, severing his leg.

Hmmm...severing his leg with a hydrospanner...well, anything's possible. But really, hopefully most of your actions won't be against one another, if they are, then yes, I'd wait for a response. I'm not going to railroad anyone, but if you all give me permission to npc your characters reactions in situations like this, then I'll take care of it.

Yeah, maybe I got caried away with my trusty hidrospanner....

But I agree that you should NPC our characters whenever you feel it's safe to do it, otherwise it would hang up the procedures too much. If there ever occurs some unexpected mis-action, like the player saying that he wanted his character to have taken the blow, not try to dodge it, then you could just "load the last saved game" and edit your post to reflect that unexpected reaction.

Cyn very dextrously attempts to move his leg out of the hidrospanners way while attempting grab it with his hand. As he maneuvers to avoid the wild swing he states "what are you doing you imitation Jawa!? I have injured lesser beings for less than that!"

"Just practicing my swing, kitty-boy, now if you'll stop squirming, maybe we can all get on with our day."

Ok, ok... let's save the insults for the game. BTW, is Cyn inside the ship with us? If yes, what is he doing there, just hitching a ride?

I have been known to barter my services for transport, and we are all aiding and abetting the fledgling rebellion which is something I would be interested in helping out with. I have some talents in computers and security i can use to barter for transport and in a pinch I can pilot, co-pilot, be a gunner and help with repairs as well.

Okay, here's my character.

Smuggler
Name: Org Tanal
Race: Human
Height: 1.8m

Dexterity: 3d+1 Blaster 4d+1, Dodge 4d+1
Strength: 3d
Knowledge: 2d+1
Mechanical: 3d+2 Astrogation 4d+2, Space Transports 4d+2, Starship Gunnery 4d+2, Starship shields 4d+2
Technical: 2d+2 Space Transport Repair 3d+2
Perception: 3d

Move: 10
Force Sensitive: No
Force Points: 1
Dark Side Points: 0
Character Points: 5

History: Org Tanal grew up on Coruscant and always wanted more. Being cramped up on a planet-sized city makes one yearn for freedom. Org dreamed of freely drifting the spacelanes. Life was good for Org, he married, and had a good job. But a riot near his home caused military forces to open fire into the crowd. Org's wife happened to be walking by the melee, but was hit by a stray blaster bolt. She died two days later. Enraged, Org left. He swore vengeance against the government, and since the man at the top is the one who is ultimately responsible, Org blamed Palpatine.

Personality: Org Tanal is a haunted man on a mission- to make the empire pay. Once happy and engaging, he is now cold and ruthless. Org is quiet, preferring to distance himself. When he talks it is usually to get information or threaten someone. Org is a man on edge.

Objectives: To make a fortune and use that fortune to fight the empire.

Quote: "Pain is relative- the amount of pain you feel is relative to how cooperative you are."

Equipment: Heavy Blaster pistol (5d), comlink, 2000 credits

Du Cass' Dream sounds good, though it's bound to be shortened to simply "The Dream".

And thanks for the explanation netjedi. Welcome aboard. Welcome to the.. uh... oh dear lord, sorry about this: Dream Team.
