Have there been any house-ruled tries at Cad Bane's rocket/repulsorlift boots that anyone knows of? I am hesitant to try myself, because it would be a complicated item. But they would have to be powerful, since they got him away from Jedi on several occasions, and he didn't have any plot immunity.

Personally, I'd just lean towards a more expensive version of the rocket pack... perhaps with a smaller number of charges. So, maybe something like:

• Rocket Boots
Model: Lindorrian Personal Rocket Boots (LPRB-3)
Type: Personal rocket boots
Skill: Rocket pack operation: Rocket Boots
Cost: 2000
Availability: 4, R
Game Notes: The LPRB-3 rocket boots can carry up to 60 kilograms
and can move up to 30 meters vertically or 45 meters horizontally
in a single charge. The unit has 6 charges. Recharges are cheap; only 10 credits per charge.

I know it's not Star Wars but this conversation now reminds me of the opening credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy where Star-Lord is dancing around on Morag, using his rocket boots to jump across that short chasm to get to the Orb...all while listening to "Come and Get Your Love" on his ridiculously-still-functioning-after-24-years-Walkman.

That movie was awesome. I can't wait to see Volume 2. Mr. Green

And I think Error asked the wrong question.

We shouldn't wonder about his footwear. We need a thread about his fabulous hat. Very Happy

Yeah, you're probably right, it is a bit large for a fedora.

OR those funky sky skating boots we saw used in Jupiter Ascending.

That's a good stab at it, but it doesn't quite match what we see on the screen. The first thing that pops out at me is that the boots are more powerful and last longer than six charges. (BTW, Netflix apparently won't have TCW after March 7th).

Gorrammit. That's been my go-to "No one is home but me" show for a while. I'd have watched more of it, but seldom is no one home but me.

Same here my friend. When I moved in here about five months ago, I started watching it whenever the TV was free. I have seen all of the episodes at least once, and some of them three or four times. I am hell-bent on finishing the series before 7 Mar, even if it means I stay up an hour or two extra every night.

I just finished the Pong Krell storyline. It's a good one, but the problem is it takes place on Umbara, and though the bioluminescence is cool, it's still really dark everywhere, and things can be hard to see on my old TV. And the arc is four or five episodes in that setting if I recall.

Pong Krell's lightsabers are sweet. I would totally replicate a character like that but in a different four-armed species and probably evil.

Geez, I just finished watching the Zillo Beast arc in Season 2. This Clone Wars marathon is just so looooong....

To say nothing of the fact that I enjoy Rebels more than Clone Wars, so even though I want to finish watching all of TCW, I'm not all that enthused to do so. Sad

I found that Clone Wars took a little bit to get its feet on solid ground, and then the show really took off.

Ahsoka started out as my most hated character (right up there with Jar Jar) but by the end of the series, she had become by far one of my favorites.

Also, the Clone Trooper stories really make that show. When you see the sacrifices they make in the name of duty, it's hard not to get a little choked up.

IMO, the absolute *best* thing about TCW was the portrayal of Anakin as an actual Jedi Knight who also acts like one. Ep 2. he whines, Ep 3 he's evil. TCW was a refreshing take on the character between the two movies, and the best thing about him is that it is shown he was a GOOD man before Palpatine's goading of him and his appealing to his deepest fears, and his subsequent conversion to Vader.
