I've been reading the equipment in various books and noticed something.

The only detonator I've seen has been the Blaststick one.

Yet most descriptions talk about being set off with things like electric charges and the like.
Are the tools for remote or timed detonations considered to be included in the standard
explosives like the shaped charges and plasticene gel from gundarks and such?

I think so. It would be sort of a huge feaux pas if you couldn't detonate your detonite, simply because WEG forgot to make stats for a detonator. I think that they assume most run off of timers, like the charges used in ROTJ, which visibly had little winders to set them. One could make a remote detonator with a comlink in theory, similar to cellphones or pagers used on earth.

In Rules of Engagement, the individual stats on some explosives simply mention that explosives can be detonated by timer or remote relay. IMO, WEG probably just made the assumption that the individual detonators were part and parcel of the explosives package (realistically or otherwise). Of course, there is no reason you can't come up with your own rules for detonators, but the only place in the EU that I can recall them being mentioned is in X-Wing: Wraith Squadron, where the Wraiths are on a commando raid and Kell (as the team's demolitions expert) is checking his equipment. Several types of detonators are mentioned...

If anything, i would come up with a "standard demo pack' which would include, 5 reg detonators, 5 timed, 5 remote and 5 special. 10lb detonite, and two 5lb shaped charges... Say with 30ft wire..

And 10 meters of wire seems short.

so round up and make it 11?

Yeah, I think that detonators are equipment that you can get into detail or just hand-wave and assume that they are there and work the way you want, depending on your game.

Detonators are listed in sourcebook pg 100 no descritions.
standard 50 cr
timer fuse 50 cr
remote fuse 50 cr.

Seems a wee bit pricey to me and really looks like a W.A.G afterthought.
A demopack would be a nice addition with various detonaters, timers, remotes, wire, placement adhesive and tools.
black market shaped charge demo packs would be cool with shaped charge containers, standoffs, plates, cones, angles to make your own shaped charges on the fly.

There may already be a demolitions toolkit like what you mentioned. I've seen stats for one, but I don't know if they're homebrew or not. Regardless, it strikes me as the most reasonable solution.

Pretty sure its just the basic Star Wars Sourcebook with the equipment price chart towards the back.

Change to 30 meters then.

modern military firing lines are a bit bigger as in 152m big. Laughing

The FM5-25 Explosives and Demolitions field manual has details but I only have the current one and thats not cleared for public distribution, haven't looked if there is an older one available someplace but that is the field manual to be looking for if anyone is that intrested, the gear would be older and wouldn't have the latest hardware obviously but would give an idea.

While we're on the subject, I've really gotten a lot of mileage out of those OB .pdfs you have for the US Army. A couple of things, though:

1). They keep making reference to an accompanying field manual. do you have a copy, and if so, is it available to the public?

2). Do you have access to similar pdfs for aviation and/or artillery units?
