I was actually curious about the RAW that states Ion damage of 16+ results in 'controls dead'. I can't seem to find anywhere that explains how long your contols are dead or how you fix them!

All i see is it saying that when a ship suffers as many control's ionized as it has maneuver dice, it gets control's dead, which lasts for 2 turns.

If you check on the standard Damage chart on page 111-112 of the 2R&E Rulebook, the rules for Controls Dead can be found on the top of the very first column on pg. 112.

As i said above that;s for controls frozen (more control's ionized than maneuver dice)...
