I started with 1st edition and dutifully bought each new one as it was released. I have to say I liked 2nd the best, though. It incorporated the die caps from the Rules Companion and refined the combat a bit. R&E didn't do much for me, but I've still got it.
I completely agree that the artwork did diminish over time. The 1st Ed. Sourcebook was the absolute best. _________________ Aha! |

We like to use 2e R&E but man I miss reading the text and examples in the 1st edition. I still crack up everytime I think of the example of a failed Con roll:
Han: "We're all fine down here...how are you?" *cringe*
Imperial: "We're sending a squad up."
WEG Star Wars D6 Editions? _________________ Belsarius: "All clear!"
Sarge: "Alright, now....wait a sec kid. Do you mean 'all clear' or is this a slavers-on-Daysum III 'all clear'?" |
