I love the look of this baby. AFAIK its just a homemade starship design (even though its stunning). However I somehow have a vague memory that Ive seen an 'official' ship that is similar, and was thinking of using those stats (if it exists). Anyone know what Im talking about?

I recognize that ship, drooled over that one myself... This site has stats for that ship, almost the exact image as well though hand drawn as opposed to rendered:

http://www.rpggamer.org/stats.php?page=d6/d6t-wing.html&name=Koensayr%20T%20Wing%20Interceptor

Not sure of the validity of those stats, but it gives something to start with...

Copied here:
Quote:

Name: T Wing Fighter
Type: Koensayr T Wing Interceptor
Scale: Starfighter
Length: 14 Meters

Description: With the A-Wing fighter was a superb starfighter during the years of the Rebellion, due to its incredible speed and manueverability, however once the New Republic was formed instead of convoy raiding the A-Wing was pressed into service as an escort fighter, a role it was ill suited to, but against the remnants of the Empire this made little difference since it still totally outclassed the Tie Fighters that it was put up against. But when the Republic was faced with threat of the Sith/Empire alliance, and the upgraded fighters they were fielding, the Republic began looking for a new fighter to replace the A-Wing, this is the winning model from Koensayr, the designers of the Y-Wing bomber that served the Rebel Alliance so well during the civil war. The cockpit is similar to the Y-Wing so adaptation and training was simple, the laser cannons on their struts offer a similar targeting acquisition and spread of fire to the X-Wing, plus the Ion Cannons provide flexability to this vessel.

Heh, that must be the galaxys crappiest starfighter. Man 1D, Space 5, Hull 2D.. Laughing

Even though the pic above would fit a sleek craft with low hull, I think it screams speed..

Perhaps its better to start from scratch, cant really find anything that fits..

Ah, perhaps an updated version of the old Drake starfighter, the Drake II..

The idea is to have a very fast starfighter with good maneuverability for a 'low' cost. To achieve this KDY kept the craft very light and instead invested in good shielding. The power core is somewhat underpowered however (to save both weight and cost), when going at full speed the shield rating drops to 1D.

Quote:

Hyperdrive Multiplier: x1
Nav Computer: Yes, limited to 5 jumps.

I'm pretty sure that Ty got that one nailed on the head. Clicked the link, picture to the side is a match.

Ah, missed the link. The ship is clearly to heavy to be this ship, and with more weapons than 'my' pic shows. However its clear the two pics are related..

However this is the T-Wing I found at Wookie..

And from Grys stats (with same pic)

Quote:

Craft: Rebel Alliance T-wing
Alignment: Rebel Alliance / General
Era: Rebellion
Type: Space superiority fi ghter
Scale: Starfi ghter
Length: 10 meters
Skill: Starfi ghter piloting: T-wing
Crew: 1
Crew Skill: Starfi ghter piloting 3D+2, starship gunnery
3D+2, starship shields 3D+1
Cargo Capacity: 35 kilograms
Consumables: 2 days
Hyperdrive Multiplier: x1
Nav Computer: Limited to two jumps
Maneuverability: 3D
Space: 11
Atmosphere: 435; 1,300 km/h
Hull: 2D
Shields: 1D+2
Sensors:
Passive: 20/0D
Scan: 35/1D
Search: 40/2D
Focus: 2/3D
Weapons:
2 Laser Cannons (fi re linked)
Fire Arc: Front
Skill: Starship gunnery
Fire Control: 2D
Space Range: 1-3/12/25
Atmosphere Range: 100-300/1.2/2.5 km
Damage: 5D

This is very close to my Drake II concept above. What I like more about the Drake II is that its not a 'rebel' craft but general.

Those stats look fair enough, and I will state that the stats on the site I linked to are all Fan generated it seems, so not canon, in which case open to interpretation... Very Happy

Yeah, I noticed, buts its clear the pics are somehow related. There are too many similarities even if there are some differences. It would be interesting to know what links them together..

That fighter was first designed by Jeff Carlisle and he calls it the "Gamma wing" and there are no official stats made for that particular fighter, it was first seen in 1999 at Jeff's art gallery here:

under featured artist > Jeff Carlisle

Jeff did freelance artwork for a few star wars projects including various ship designs found in Star wars gamer magazine but haven't seen that particular fighter in any of them.

Then someone upgraded it into a 3d model but 'improved' the design a bit heh..
