EDIT: Moved my comments to the other thread so all the comments are in one place, rather than spread across two threads.

Once the LotFSB is finished with the grammar corrections, I am considering making a second version of the LotFSB into a Galaxy Guide of just D6 stats. If I do this, what GG number should I use?

First of all, thank you for your efforts with this project. I don't see anything wrong with the dual-system work so don't see a need for a D6-only version. If you do, I suggest not bothering with calling it a GG, or at least not bother with a number. There are now multiple fan communities making GGs with overlapping numbers so numbered GGs are meaningless now.

Then might I suggest that we take the precedent of starting a series of Guidebooks? We'd still be having the GGs, but with the added benefit for starting over.

I thought WRP was the only one doing GG's and we have tried very hard to make sure that the numbering is correct.

GG 13: The Phantom Menace
GG 14: The Dark Side
GG 15: Attack of the Clones
GG 16: The Old Republic
GG 17: Cyborgs & Cybernetics

We are currently working on GG 18: Rogue One. Daniel is working on Scoundrels which we are unsure if going to be a galaxy guide. It will probably be released as a source book, like the SWRe source books have.

How is the numbering messed up?

Aren't people going to confuse Galaxy Guides with Galaxy Guidebooks? People will inevitably use GG for shorthand for both types of books and will misunderstand which books they're referring to.

Quote:
Star Wars Fan 1: Dude, did you check out GG1? That fanbook on the Legacy of the Force is awesome!

Star Wars Fan 2: WTF are you talking about? GG1 is the official Galaxy Guide for A New Hope, not Legacy!

Star Wars Fan 1: I didn't mean the Galaxy Guide, I meant the Galaxy Guidebook.

Star Wars Fan 2: Then why did you use "GG" to describe a fanbook, you nimrod?!

Star Wars Fan 1: Don't you call me a nimrod, you nimrod!

Star Wars Fan 2: Nimrod!

Star Wars Fan 1: Ok, you're done.

*nerd fistfight ensues which winds up destroying both Fan 1 and Fan 2's collection of out-of-print WEG Star Wars sourcebooks*

And you know what makes this a tragedy of Shakespearian proportions? Answer: The destruction of the out-of-print Star Wars sourcebooks, natch. It's not like I could give a sh!t about either of those two @$$h0le*. Razz

Alright, I see your point.... LOL!

Alright, how about Galaxy Guide Source Book (GGSB)?

Or, Galaxy Sourcebook (GSB)?

Or, how about Saga Galaxy Guide (SGG)?

Or, Galaxy Saga Guide (GSG)?

Or, Galaxy Saga Sourcebook (GSSB)?

I like this brainstorming. We can also expand on some of these ideas with some in-universe concepts. "Galaxy" is an attractive word for the series, but what if we expanded it to some in-universe concepts of the galaxy's vision of itself?

A Holonet Guide? A Jedi Archive Volume? an Imperial Briefing?

I dunno. Just spitballing here.
