Welcome, Scotty! And don't mind it when garhkal and Error get into one of their regularly scheduled quarrels. They're both actually quite cuddly once you get used to them. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies
Only some of it is for D6 Star Wars.
Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

I have a girlfriend for that, now. And when dating a woman who expects you to take personal time discussing Star Wars on the internet (yeah, no $h!t), you do whatever you must to keep her happy. That's a big part of why I've been so quiet lately. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. I guess I've been kicking around here long enough that I should say hello.
I played d6 back in high school and university (an astonishingly long time ago, now) and some buds of mine have recently recruited me to run a new game for them over the intertron, so I'm gradually getting back up to speed.
Pleasantly surprised at the amount of support that's still out there for this old game, I think the system has a lot going for it and anyone who hasn't rolled 20+ six-siders hasn't really RPGed. |

I'm new to the pit. Star Wars D6 is the best example of a set of rules married to a game universe that I've ever seen.
In other words, I love D6 Star Wars. There's no reason to play a different version.
Oh...and although I think all editions of D6 SW are awesome, I'm a First Edition guy. I like the slim, slam-bam-and-we're-gone feel of the first core rulebook. No Rules Upgrade. No Rules Companion. No Second Edition.
All I want and need is the first edition core rulebook, and I'm happy.
PS - That said, I have purchased the entire game line--all editions, all adventures, all supplements and boxed sets, and all Adventure Journals. So, I've got a stocked D6 SW library from which to draw.
And, just because I'm a First Edition guy now, that doesn't mean that I was always one of them. I've run multi-year campaigns using the other rule sets, mostly R&E. |
