I haven't logged in here, in forever, however I just wanted to let people know that I have mostly completed, and play tested, a 3rd edition to WEG D6 Star Wars. It incorporates advanced rules, difficulty, new scaling system, elite training packages, martial arts and all the other stuff. Similar in many respects to Womp Rat Press's release of their revised and expanded, expect that it's more of an Epic overlay to either basic WEG D6 or their revised book.

It cleans up the skill system, combining some, eliminating others and adding a few. Separating Skills into Advanced Proficiencies, and Advanced Skills. Force Attribute, Sub Class Jedi like the Raw Mage (a Sith Alchemist), Quixotic Jedi, Limited Force Users, Pattern Knights & Chaos Knights (Zelazny's Amber) and more. Opens up the genre for any kind of sci fi/fantasy D6 game play.

It's been a labor of love for the past 6 years. Now in a very playable state. Roughly 150 pages

After reading another post by CRMcNeill, I have actually revised the Difficulty Ratings in the manual. I really needed the help on it and it's exactly what I was looking for. Taking the Difficulty Rating all the way up to 360. However, with characters that may very well end up with a -3DR that means they end up having to hit targets of 180 instead. Typically, we resolve dice codes beyond 10D as being "static" for the first ten and variable for any afterward. Not to be confused with Mini 6's 3 points per D rule. I'm talking a flat 60 for the first 10 dice.

If anyone is curious and would like to look at the book, please PM me, and I wall send you a link. Criticism is an effective tool for improvement.

Though I usually try to provide feedback on community projects, I've really been loaded with real life things. Though I would like to encourage you on your project! Seldom to people really appreciate the time it takes for these labors of love.

Keep fighting the good fight!

Thank you! Much appreciated. The groups on G+ have been going nuts over it too. Lots of people pulling the book and thanking us for releasing it. It's been really nice.

I initially started by requesting PM's so I could link people to the book, however, what's worked is simply posting the link.
Here you go:

I have a custom Character Sheet for it that incorporates all the mechanics, it took about 12 hours to hammer out. Use it, don't use it, up to you.

Who was involved in designing this third edition? I am a nuanced game designer and I had nothing to do with it Sad Sad Sad

I really like what you have done particularly with starships but I have a couple of questions.
1. Does armor get depleted once or with each individual (or Combined) shot?

2. If once and a ship has shields does the shield portion return each time?

3. If not have you tried a mechanic for building the shields back up with either a shield or repair roll?

Can we get the latest copy from Google Drive instead of Sabercathost? the latter is a known unsafe website according to my Symantec/Norton protection program.

This gentleman wrote an editorial on the book, here:

http://www.highlevelgames.ca/blog/5-awesome-aspects-of-the-fan-made-star-wars-rpg-3rd-edition

He breaks down what the book does a lot better than I can Wink.

He uses saber cat hosting, I used it before because some people could not get the book off of Google drive. It's not so much unsafe as it has adds and navigating and downloading there is a real PITA.

Here is my Google Drive link:

This is the latest revision of the book. We are working on coming out with Droid creation rules hopefully by the end of the year.
