So I was wondering, when a large ship such as a victory star destroyer engages another large ship, Do multiple action penalties apply for saying firing the 10 front turbo lasers and then the 5 front double turbo lasers? I would think multiple action penalties should not apply since a large crew is manning the entire ship and it should only apply if the same weapon battery is fired again. Is my assumption correct or should I still give the MAP. Open to debate and I will be posting a poll to see what some people think.

The MAP only applies to individuals... the ship is not acting, gunnery crew 6-B is. If they try to shoot several people in one round, they get a MAP. If they're doing their one shot, that's it.

Naval ships' primary activity is drilling to prepare themselves for all the various threats they may face. The idea is, by the time they face actual combat, they are a well-oiled team operating their ship as a unit under the sole command of their captain. IMO, any MAPs would be offset by the inherent coordination bonus gained through intensive and exhaustive training and drilling.

This, if turbolaser battery Port 3 fires twice, then IT gets mapped. otherwise no maps.

Thanks, was playing with my little cousins and they asked about this and I never had that question before. As yoda said, truly wonderful the mind of a child is.
