Yeah, but where's the fun in that? I mean, that's almost like cheating! Laughing

because the moff is starting to panic - 6 of the newly build speeder scale droideka style mobile assault droids (think uniwheel though) - 2 of the old walker scale spider droids - 3 at-st's - 2 squads of stormtroopers complete with 3 e-web's and 4 defense turret speeder scale cannons.

Spread around and throughout of course.

Do the players already know that they need to kidnap him? And if he is such an important person, what is HIS guard like?

2 squads of his personnal guard - a security agency working independant of the empire and currently being paid VERY well, but HATE this planet and how half or any edible will kill humans.

1 squad of imperial troopers - exterior only.

a set of 4 of the new type 3 security droids (improved ASP).

2 Trained akon hounds (genetically modified reptillian hunting animals and his personnal pets.)

5 house servants loyal to his family.

and one incredibly deadly and sexy Zeltron slave girl who loves her master.

they know his importance as he is the nephew of the moff.

working agaisnt him:
11 newly acquired slaves that despise him.
3 slaves girls (2 twi'lek, 1 miralian) that hate him and his "pet" the zeltron.
And 1 R2 unit that is currently being used as a serving droid that was rebuilt from parts of an allied forces model named R2-MT codename *Empty* whose memory wipe "missed" his hidden backups.
Who will start broadcasting a distress signal the moment he learns of any active security alerts triggered by allied forces personnel.

So what's the size of the party going after him?

4 PC's with NPC's available on request.

3 NPCS - two stealth characters to sneak in and relay info, and a force user.

4 NPC's if we count the droid - which one of the PC's has allied forces authorization codes to get the droid on their side.

most of the npc's are backstory to the pcs as they will split up and try to get to the overseer. The npc's are for dealing with the security outside mostly.
And will probably only be used if they take the direct approach which will require the stealth npc's to drop their tracking of another target in the villa to assist (funny story - the tracked target is the force user.)

So potentially 7-9 in the party against 30 troops, 4 combat droids, 2 hounds and 5 loyal servants..

Looks like they better hope they can get in and convince the new slaves to assist, otherwise they MIGHT get overwhelmed.

Meh... the majority of bad guys can usually ne taken down with one good shot from a heavy blaster.

Then again, I've almost always played a Jedi.... with RAW LSC its there is almost no limit to the number of mooks that I couldn't deal with... but I digress...

It sounds lile a good fine line to walk between stealth and dynamic entry. If the PCs can keep quiet for as long as possible, they may be able to take out enough bad guys before anyone is the wiser.

And these guys are now combat veterans with rather high skill codes - and there next target will probably be the admiral to get info on the moff's whereabouts.

I really like the idea behind this adventure/story arc. Could make for some very interesting gameplay.

As far as fleet response, I agree with all of the above. A couple days for elements from surrounding planets/systems to get there for backup. Probably a week for a sizable forward squadron to reach the area and begin counter-actions. If it's near Remnant space, but still in NR space, a task force could take 2-3 weeks to assemble and arrive.

My question on this is are the Imperials also sending forces to deal with their rogue elements? I can see Pellaeon wanting to shut the rogues down in an attempt at showing the NR that this wasn't sanctioned by the Remnant. It could lead to some tense roleplaying if the the PCs have to be stuck in the middle of a three-sided situation.
