YES! "Grey" in this context ONLY refers to a Jedi that is not in-line with the dogmatic Jedi Code. It has nothing to do with his philosophy, use of the Force, etc.
The term would be akin to a US Sentator who is a "closet communist". It does not say he is not an American but that he feels that is should have more socialist inclinations. The same thing with "grey" Jedi. |
SWR, that at least makes 3 of us in that camp.
However, I would say your 'closet communist' would be evil and therefore fall into the dark/sith camp - but that is a debate better left to friends sharing an adult beverage

Then why have rules for corruption etc so these Grey jedi get to use the dark side? If they are only dogmatically grey?

[garhkal] you keep getting caught up on the two separate definitions "grey" in reference to Force users. We are currently discussing the term "grey Jedi" in reference to the dogmatic Jedi Code and not the use of the Force skills.

Its all good. Sometimes multiple ideas get tossed around in a thread. Though it might be easier to keep track of if they were in different threads, but honestly when the discussion is so close, just need to take a little extra time to make sure the conversation has moved in another direction. Especially when dealing with posts that are in response to older posts.
