Are there any stats/rules for externally carried weapons like the K-wing, or almost any modern fighter carries? If not, I'll try and work something out myself and share it with here.

This is a write-up by Urban Lunquist / Wing Commander Luna from the AOL SW-RPG Mailing List. It's pretty comprehensive, although I think it was written up before the K-Wing was designed, so it doesn't include the flechette missiles or the shield buster torps.

Yeah, his website is down now, and I lost my copy years ago in a hard drive crash. On a whim, I Googled "Star Wars RPG D6 Wing Pylon System" and this popped up. There's a few more of his on there that aren't credited, like his Mine Warfare rules.
