Ive been reading this article..
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_powers

..and Im thinking of using a system built on these more generic powers

For example. There are three main abilities under Control.

-Tutaminis was an umbrella title used by the Jedi Order to classify Force abilities related to energy absorption.

-Curato salva was an umbrella title used by the Jedi Order to classify Force abilities related to self-healing.

-Altus sopor was the traditional term for the ability to increase a user's focus on the Force.

Under these umbrella abilities there are several abilities incorporated into these..

Alchaka
Art of Movement
Breath Control
Detoxify Poison
Flashburn
Force Body
Force Comprehension
Force Concealment (Also known as Force Stealth)
Force Enlightenment
Force Ghost
Force Healing
Force speed
Hibernation Trance
Morichro
Tapas

The idea is of course not to have all these lesser powers as separate powers. They are just examples. I want to use around 3 'powers' per skill to cover the different RAW powers. Curato Salva would cover Detoxify, Control Pain, Acc. healing, for example.

I dont really get how Tutaminis is an 'umbrella' power though, given the limited use of energy absorbtion.

Well, there are various examples of use throughout the canon and the EU. Using this power, a character could:

-Absorb it and contain it.
-Dissipate the energy by reflecting it in multiple directions at once.
-Reflect it, either away at random or directed at a specific target.
-Convert it into temporary "fuel" to charge up a Force power.

If you want to take it even further, this power could render a Jedi bulletproof (kinetic energy) and drain power cells (potential energy)

Also, I'm not entirely in agreement with the way powers are organized on the Wookieepedia list. For example, they put projected telepathy under Sense, but Sense is supposed to be a passive ability, making you aware of what is going on in the Force around you, not an active broadcaster. That power should be under Alter. Same thing with Morichro, which should be under Alter instead of Control (since you are affecting something outside yourself).
